Daniel Lee is vice president of marketing for Hitachi America, Ltd. where he focuses on multi-dimensional marketing for the Consumer Electronics Division. In this role, Lee is responsible for directing Hitachi’s U.S.-based marketing, communications and advertising strategies across the company’s complete line of consumer electronics, including high-definition plasma and LCD TV’s as well as it’s camcorder line. A 15-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry, Lee is also charged with expanding Hitachi’s brand awareness efforts via integrated national marketing and advertising campaigns, including its acclaimed “Power Unleashed” campaign, introduced in 2006.

Previously, Lee was vice president of marketing for Maxell Corporation of America, where his duties included spearheading the company's marketing, branding, advertising, communications and sales support for the consumer, data and professional product groups.

Prior to joining Maxell, Lee served as director of marketing at LG Electronics, playing a leading role in the company’s highly successful entrance into the U.S. electronics and major appliance industries.

Currently, Lee is a CMO Council Member and has served on the Global Advisory Board of the Effie Awards, a distinguished group of top-level marketers from Fortune 500 Corporations who recognize the value of effective multinational campaigns. He has participated as a judge on numerous occasions for marketing campaign competitions, and was previously a member on the board of the IEEE Corporate Communications’ Executive Advisory Committee. He is also a board member for the Plasma Coalition where he helps lead the efforts to grow public awareness and understanding for the societal benefits of plasma science.

Lee earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Northeastern University and his MBA from Cornell University.
