Vice-President, Marketing Abacus International Pte Ltd Brett Henry is Vice-President of Abacus International’s Marketing Division where he leads product and content marketing for both agency and airlines, Corporate and Marketing Communications as well as Training. As Vice President, Marketing Brett’s role is to ensure synergies between Abacus’s own organisation-level marketing functions and the needs of travel agencies and travel suppliers, thus providing end-to- end solutions for all Abacus’ partners in the travel supply chain. On the organisation-level side, Brett’s teams lead the company’s initiatives in brand management, public relations, event management, marketing research, training, eServices and business development. His Division also includes the product teams for airline and agency solution and content marketing for travel agencies, airlines, hotels, car rental and insurance. Brett brings to Abacus more than 15 years of travel industry experience with a focus on marketing, business development, and driving productive relationships. He has held leadership roles at companies across the travel distribution value chain including airlines and global distribution systems. Before coming to Abacus, Brett held the position of Alliance Director, Asia Pacific, at Sabre Inc. Brett is married, has been based in Asia for the last five years and reports directly to Abacus International President & CEO, Mr Robert Bailey.
APAC Marketing Director Adobe Systems Based in Sydney, Mark pursues an aggressive marketing strategy across the region as Adobe expands its traditional creative professional and consumer markets and starts to target the enterprise decision makers with its new range of server based enterprise document solutions. Mark joins Adobe following 10 years of senior management roles within Microsoft, in Australia, Europe and Asia where he was most recently general manager of Microsoft Hong Kong before returning to his home town of Sydney earlier this year.
Managing Director Appio Labs Kriti is a senior marketing professional with 15 years of international experience having worked with leading technology companies across Asia Pacific, EMEA and the United States. She has deep experience in developing creative, strategic, results-driven B2B marketing campaigns for emerging and mature markets covering financial planning, demand generation, media relations, corporate branding, executive thought leadership and industry alliances. Kriti is co-founder and Managing Director of Appio Labs, a corporate mobile apps developer, based in Singapore. Previously, Kriti held various senior marketing roles during her eight years at Dell where her experience spanned product management and marketing targeted at the Small & Medium Business, Public Sector and Corporate customer segments. Most recently, as Director of Solutions Marketing, Kriti led Dell’s industry solution marketing efforts targeting education, healthcare and the government sector across the APJ region. As Dell’s Director of Enterprise Marketing, Kriti managed a billion dollar portfolio of products designed for efficient datacenter operations (including servers, storage, software & services) in APJ and EMEA. Prior to Dell, Kriti was a Technology Consultant with Compaq Global Services in New York, and a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist at Digital Equipment Corp in Singapore. Kriti has an MBA from the London Business School and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Systems from the National University of Singapore. Kriti was recently invited to join the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council Asia as an Advisory Board Member.
Vice President - Sales & Marketing / CMO ArcelorMittal - Hunan Valin Steel Mr. Raymond SZE obtained his Bachelor degree in Hong Kong, and then a scholarship for a Masters Degree in International Business in the French commercial School , H.E.C. (Hautes Etudes Commerciales). He further reinforced his technical knowledge with a 3 years part time Metallurgy Certificate course at McMaster University in Canada. On his years of professional carrier, he has been working in the Ferrous and non-ferrous sectors with 2 International groups -- Alumium Pechiney and ArcelorMittal Group. He joined ArcelorMittal Group in 1994, first in the nickel alloy division (Imphy S.A.), then in the stainless steel (ArcelorMittal Stainless) as General Manager for China operation, and has participated in the setting up of several J.V. and service centers in China. He was then transferred to Hunan Valin Steel (an ArcelorMittal-Chinese joint venture company of 18 million ton steel) as Deputy General Manager for Sales and Marketing on Nov, 2008, and then became Vice President (sales & marketing) in 2011. His main hobbies are sports (badminton, football, tennis, Golf), sightseeing and reading.
Regional Marketing Director AT&T Asia Pacific Group June Chan, Regional Marketing Director, is responsible for overseeing the entire marketing function in the 13 Asia Pacific markets. June leads a regional marketing team dedicated to supporting AT&T’s business customers. This team develops the marketing strategy and implements all facets of marketing and branding programs including market positioning and messaging, brand advertising, event marketing, direct and channel marketing, sales support and customer communications. Prior to taking up this role, June worked in GE Global Exchange Services as the Regional Marketing Program Manager. She was responsible for driving the demand generation programs to ensure a healthy sales pipeline, and identifying strategic partners for joint marketing activities. During 2000, June joined an Internet start-up company as Director of Marketing and established the corporate identity, branding and marketing operations of a business-to-business online marketplace. June first joined AT&T in 1997 and was part of the expanding regional marketing team. She was to the Regional Marketing Manager of the AT&T Global Clearinghouse– a clearinghouse for Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic between ISPs and carriers worldwide, in 1998. She assumed full responsibilities in organizing global marketing and branding campaigns for that unit.
Director, Solutions & Marketing APAC Avaya Rick Seeto is Director, Solutions and Marketing for Avaya across APAC. In this role, Rick is responsible for the delivery of fit for purpose products and solutions across the APAC theatre and accountable for the portfolio revenue objectives. Rick also leads the Marketing function for APAC and is responsible for delivering a world class marketing program to support the APAC theatre growth objectives. Rick joined Avaya on Dec 21st 2009. A 20 year veteran of Nortel, Rick has held a number of senior management positions in Asia including CIO, Vice President of Enterprise Networks Asia, and as CMO for Asia. Rick brings a wealth of experience across the Enterprise business including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service and Partner Programs and Development to his new role and is an enthusiastic supporter of APAC customer and partner success. Interactive Director, Regional Marketing Services Avaya Asia Pacific Wynthia first joined Avaya to lead the interactive function and progressively took on more responsibilities within regional markeing. She leads the regional marketing services team to provide integrated marketing programs to support Avaya's business objectives across Asia Pacific. Wynthia is a passionate advocate of leveraging new media and continuous innovation in marketing programs. She is also responsible for improving the campaign management and lead tracking capabilities in the region. Wynthia began her career in market research for IT and telecommunications companies and has over 15 years of experience working with both B2C and B2B technology firms. She is an internet industry veteran who had held responsibilities in product management, business development, strategy and marketing. Wynthia joined Sembawang Media, arguably Singapore's first internet startup in 1995 where she led a product and marketing team. Wynthia joined XM Asia Pacific in 2000 to grow the strategy practice and led strategy consulting for numerous bluechip clients. She moved on to lead the interactive marketing function for Nokia in Asia Pacific where she had also held global online campaign responsibilities. Wynthia is a graduate of the business program at Nanyang Business School. She also holds a Masters in Public Policy (Systems Thinking) from the State University of New York.
Senior Partner and Managing Director Boston Consulting Group Miki Tsusaka is a Senior Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group. She is currently BCG's global leader for its Marketing and Sales Practice where best practices are cultivated across various go-to-market functions (e.g., marketing, sales, pricing and consumer insight). Her experience spans global consumer based clients on issues of strategy and organization in various sectors including food and beverage, fashion/luxury, home and beauty/personal care and media. Director of Marketing - Asia Pacific Brocade Communications Inc. K.P. Unnikrishnan (Unni) is the APAC Marketing Director of Brocade Communications Inc, the industry leader in data center networking solutions and services. He is part of the Asia-Pacific leadership team and responsible for executing the Brocade strategy across the region. He handles all aspects of marketing, including branding, channels marketing, advertising and promotions, market research, tele-marketing, strategy development, product marketing, press and analysts relations and go-to-market planning. He is focused on driving marketing excellence in Asia-Pacific to build brand awareness for Brocade in the networking market and spearhead integrated programs to help bring the Brocade One™ unifying network architecture and strategy to market. Before joining Brocade, Unni spent close to 10 years in Sun Microsystems in marketing, tele-web and partnering leadership roles. In his last stint at Sun as Corporate Director and part of the executive leadership team, he was responsible for executing the Sun marketing strategy across the Emerging Markets Region to achieve the marketing and business objectives of the organization. Prior to joining Sun, Unni headed the marketing operations for Parametric Technology Corp (PTC). In early 2000, he moved to the PTC corporate headquarters in US to join the corporate marketing team. He was conferred the Asia Pacific Marketing Excellence award twice for outstanding marketing performance in the region, which, in turn, helped the sales organization immensely. He also received Honorary Mention for the Best Worldwide Marketing Award. Unni has been named one of the Top 20 Marketing Practitioners and Visionaries in India by PITCH magazine. He has been featured in leading business magazines as an executive to watch out for. His innovative and aggressive marketing strategies have also been featured in many publications.
Vice President, Regional Field Marketing, APJ CA Technologies
EVP, Worldwide Sales & Marketing Fairchild Semiconductor Allan Lam was appointed Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing in 2007. He leads Fairchild Semiconductor’s sales and marketing organization worldwide. Allan has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Prior to his current position he was Senior Vice President of Fairchild’s Standard Products Group (SPG), which represented one quarter of the company’s business. Allan has held a number of high-level positions such as Vice President of Sales for Vishay Intertechnology Asia and Vice President of their Standard Products Unit. He has also held positions in management, quality, marketing, sales and engineering with Temic, BBS Electronics, CiNERGi, SGS-Thomson Microelectronics and National Semiconductor. Allan holds a BA in business administration from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He also holds diplomas in both management studies from the Singapore Institute of Management and electronics engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic. Allan is a fluent speaker of Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Vice President, Regional Marketing Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd Brian Fan is vice president of Regional Marketing for Fujitsu Asia. In this role, Brian is responsible for driving the region-wide marketing strategy, channel and product marketing, planning and execution, including communications and demand generation for all aspects of the Fujitsu solutions portfolio. Brian also serves as part of the global marketing leadership team. Prior to Fujitsu, Brian was director of marketing for Lawson Software, where he was responsible for all branding and demand generation activities across Asia-Pacific and Japan. During his tenure at Lawson, Brian played an integral role in helping Lawson shape its mid-market vertical focus and positioning Lawson as a leader in the ERP software for targeted markets. Brian has over 12 years of experience in technology marketing and has held a number of marketing management roles at Hitachi Data Systems, SAP Asia Pacific and IBM. Brian graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with an Honours degree in Business, major in Marketing. He also studied in the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada as part of his degree.
Executive, Strategy & Communications Futuris Automotive David is the Executive, Strategy & Communications for the Futuris Group of Companies. He has over 20 years of international experience in the automotive industry, specialising in the design and manufacturing of automotive interior products. Melbourne based, David is a member of Futuris’ global executive team and is responsible for strategy, communications, marketing, branding, as well as for public, government and investor relations. David has worked in a variety of roles including design, engineering, program management, manufacturing, business development, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, marketing and communications. He has been part of the leadership team that has significantly grown Futuris’ revenue since 2001 and has expanded the business and the brand from an Australian base into China, Thailand, South Africa and the USA. During this period David also successfully led the complete re-branding of the business from Air international to Futuris Automotive in 2006. David has traveled extensively, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. He lived in the Philippines from 1973 to 1987, and migrated to Australia from the UK in 1999. He also spent considerable time in China during 2005 - 2006 where he established Futuris’ business and took on the role as Futuris’ first General Manager in China. David continues to travel regularly to support Futuris’ rapidly expanding business. He holds a first class Honours Degree in Manufacturing Engineering & Management from the University of Bath in England. David is a member of the Australian Marketing Institute and a member of the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Council Asia-Pacific Advisory Board. Chief Marketing Officer GE Capital New Zealand Monique is a marketing and communications specialist with an extensive career in the finance industry in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Monique joined GE Capital in 2011 and is responsible for the strategic direction of the GE Capital brand, incorporating GE Money, Gem Visa, Custom Fleet, Equipment Finance, Pacific Premium Funding and Distribution Finance. GE Capital is the leading specialist financial provider in New Zealand, serving more than 500,000 customers across a range of profiles and sectors. Monique leads the GE Capital Marketing team, which is responsible for developing innovative strategies to drive superior customer experience across multiple brands to both consumers and commercial clients. She also oversees PR and internal communications for GE Capital New Zealand. Monique has held a number of senior marketing and business development positions within Bank of New Zealand, ANZ, Westpac Banking Corporation, Telecom and Barclays Bank covering brand and marketing, customer experience, sales and business strategy, retailing excellence, corporate and internal communications, change and transformation, event management and media relations. During her time in London, she gained extensive experience while consulting to a range of businesses including McDonalds and British American Tobacco. Monique started her career at AGC Finance in New Zealand after graduating from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in marketing and management. Head of Enterprise Marketing, Asia Pacific & Japan Jeremy Cooper is Head of Enterprise Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan at Google. Cooper has close to a decade and a half of experience enterprise software marketing having held senior marketing potions at companies such as Oracle Corporation, Salesforce.com and Siebel Systems and Computer Associates. He had been with salesforce.com since January 2006 and in his most recent role as vice president of marketing for Asia Pacific & Japan, oversaw the development and execution of the firm's market development strategy in the company's fastest growing region worldwide. His responsibilities included field marketing, corporate brand development, public relations, events, customer programs, online marketing and creative services. Cooper joined salesforce.com in January 2006 from Oracle Corporation, where he served as Senior Director of Market Development, Applications & Priority Industries, Asia Pacific. While there, he managed a regional team that was responsible for realigning Oracle’s marketing focus on business applications – including the go-to-market strategy for an expanded portfolio of applications following the acquisition of Peoplesoft/JD Edwards, Retek and Profit Logic – which resulted in record revenues for Oracle Asia Pacific. Cooper holds degrees in Commerce and Law from Bond University, Australia.
Marketing & Communications Director, Asia Pacific & Japan HP Enterprise Services Kimberly Nelson is Marketing and Communications Director, Asia Pacific and Japan for HP Enterprise Services. In this role, Nelson is responsible for supporting the business through the development and implementation of strategic programs which promotes the company’s growth in the region. Her responsibilities include developing media relations strategies and localizing brand implementation in a diverse regional market, devising and implementing a messaging framework for internal and external communications, and collaborating on the development of thought leadership pieces for Corporate, Industry and Portfolio Solution offerings. Head of Marketing & Strategy, Growth Markets IBM Global Financing Chris CG Tan is IBM Global Financing's Head of Marketing & Strategy for Growth Markets. With over $36 billion in assets and operations in more than 55 countries, IBM Global Financing (IGF) is the world's leading provider of multi-vendor IT financing solutions. Based in Singapore, Chris leads a team of marketing professionals across the Growth Markets, comprising of 8 regions spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East/Africa and Latin America. In this role, Chris is responsible for market segment planning, offerings development, channels marketing, communications and demand generation for IGF. Prior to his current appointment, Chris spent nearly 4 years in IBM Singapore leading, Marketing, Communications and Strategy for the country operations. In his career spanning over two decades in IBM, Chris has held numerous roles in Sales, Channels, Solutions, Marketing and Operations in the Small & Medium Business, dotcom, Travel & Transportation, Distribution, Education business segments at country, ASEAN and Asia Pacific levels.
Manager of Marketing & General Office, Asia Pacific InfoPrint Solutions Company Cathy Wang is the Asia Pacific Manager of Marketing and General Office for InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between Ricoh Corporation and IBM. Cathy is responsible for AP marketing, communications & general office business development in the region. She was Product Line Manager of the IBM Printing System Division before her current role. Prior to that, Cathy was Chief Representative of Bel-Star Electronic Systems, distributor of Oce Printing Systems, in their Guangzhou office, where she first set up the office and then successfully expanded the production printing business in South China that included over 30 clients with high-speed printing systems. She started her career in the printing solution industry with Bel-Star Electronic Systems in February 1995, where she held a number of key positions.
Director, Marketing & Consumer Sales Intel Asia Pacific Makiko Eda, Director of Marketing & Consumer Sales, is responsible for overseeing product marketing at Intel Asia Pacific and Japan. Prior to taking this role, she was the Director of Intel's Corporate Marketing Group. Eda first joined Intel in 2000, as Manager of Market Research in the corporate marketing Group. Eda received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Waseda University, and her Master’s degree in Sociology from the University from Arkansas.
Chief Marketing Officer Invest Hong Kong Karen Winton is the Chief Marketing Officer of Invest Hong Kong, one of the world’s leading investment promotion agencies. She is responsible for providing strategic steer in developing and implementing the organisation’s global branding, advertising, marketing, public relations and events strategies. She also directs the provision of IT support across the organisation, including network infrastructure, websites, social media and the CRM. Ms. Winton began her career in business and financial journalism in London in 1987 and moved to Hong Kong in 1990, where she held managerial positions with the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Australian publishing group John Fairfax Ltd and The Economist Group. After a stint in Sydney, Australia, she returned to Hong Kong and set up IMC Media Ltd in 2003. As the head of its content and events division, she worked with various corporates and professional organisations to promote their objectives through a range of publications, events and marketing initiatives. Among these clients were: The Hong Kong Institute of Directors; JPMorgan Treasury Singapore; PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong; ACCA Hong Kong; Hong Kong Institute of Bankers; CPA Australia Hong Kong China Division; and the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in History from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, in the UK.
Director, Business Development & Marketing - APAC Lawson Software As the Regional Business Development and Marketing Director for Asia Pacific for Lawson, Haren comes with a background of over 15 years experience in Asia and Mid East regions. He has held marketing and sales leadership positions within ERP Software and Business Services industries over the last 8 years across Asia Pacific region. He has managed both marketing and sales teams across the region over the years and currently manages the team spread across Asia Pacific region. Haren has a keen interest in personal development and is currently studying for his Doctorate in Business Administration. He is also an avid reader, with a high level of interest in history of warfare and military campaigns. He is also fond of outdoors and plays competitive level cricket in Singapore. Haren lives with his wife and two kids in Singapore.
CMO Lead Microsoft Asia Pacific Frederique Covington was appointed Central Marketing Organization Lead for Asia-Pacific in June 2011. In this role, Frederique, who goes by Freddie, leads the marketing strategies across the region for all of the company’s offerings across both commercial and consumer audiences. The CMO Lead role exists to build and deliver a holistic marketing communications discipline for use across all APAC markets providing a new level of marketing innovation, planning, end-to-end execution as well as digital and operational excellence. Freddie also heads up the APAC community of CMOs providing region-wide marketing governance, metrics for marketing discipline excellence, marcom orchestration and the majority of marcom execution. Tapping on her extensive marketing experience, Freddie’s main priorities are to drive marketing innovation and inspire consumer passion for our technology and brands. Prior to this, she was the Director of Marketing Communications within Microsoft’s Consumer & Online (C&O) business. Prior to joining Microsoft, Freddie was with the Ogilvy Group, where she held numerous leadership positions, most recently running its operations in Asia as Managing Partner of Bates141. Leading a 30-strong strategic planning community, Freddie successfully strengthened the agency’s credentials and thought leadership profile across the region. As a core member of the management team, she oversaw all of the agency’s key clients such as Sony, Dell, Samsung, Virgin Mobile, HSBC, Heineken and Avon. Before her return to Ogilvy in 2003, Freddie served as Director of Strategy with DMB&B. During her four-year tenure, she drove insight-driven strategic leadership while championing innovative and fresh ideas for major iconic brands such as Philips, Procter & Gamble, Toys "R" Us and Moët & Chandon. A veteran and proven leader in her field, Freddie’s long career in marketing is punctuated by a multitude of awards. Her campaigns for leading brands AT&T, Cisco and Eastman Kodak, have garnered four EFFIEs, which recognize marketing effectiveness for first-class initiatives. In 2009, Freddie was appointed by the Institute of Advertising Singapore (IAS) as Chief Judge for the country’s EFFIE Awards. Freddie holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She is a proud supporter of the charity Room to Read, and resides in Singapore with her husband, two children and their dog Sky.
Operating Officer / Head of Marketing Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim Glen Sunohara is a pharmaceutical executive with a wealth of global and in-market experience. He currently serves as the Operating Officer and Head of Marketing at Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim, based in Japan, where he has improved the talent and capabilities of the marketing organization and led "Best in World" launches of multiple new brands including Januvia, Cosopt and Bridion. Previously, Glen held various senior management roles at Novartis.
