James Alderton serves as a regional director for Asia Pacific at Tektronix. Alderton oversees all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting and implementation in Asia Pacific including strategy for meeting revenue and market share objectives, market development, demand generation, offline and online marketing programs, PR and advertising.

Alderton has 25 years experience in marketing high-tech products and solutions with leading global technology companies in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Tektronix in April 2004, he was Vice President of Marketing & Business Planning for Electronic Data Systems in Asia Pacific, and before that held the position of Director of Marketing & Alliance for Oracle Corporation in the Greater China region.

Alderton has a degree in Economic History from University of East Anglia, England, and completed a Business Strategy Program at Columbia University, Graduate School of Business.
