As the Business and Marketing Officer for Microsoft Asia Pacific, Andrew has three core responsibilities: Business Leadership, Marketing Excellence and Operational Effectiveness. As part of his role, Andrew is responsible for driving the strategic integration of business, marketing and operational leadership across the region, aligning talent and resources to most effectively drive growth, win share, improve customer & partner satisfaction and spark innovation.

Before taking on this role, Andrew was the Director for Business Management for Microsoft Asia Pacific. Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, this role combined establishing core process infrastructures to support executive decision-making (fiscal planning, process management, governance and operational models) and managing large-scale projects (e.g. geographic expansion).

A 15 year Microsoft veteran, Andrew moved to Singapore in February 2003, taking on a role as Business & Marketing Officer at Microsoft Singapore. Reporting to the General Manager of the subsidiary, this role was responsible for the revenue, market share and P&L performance of all Microsoft Business Groups (Windows, Information Worker, Server Platforms, Developer Tools, Microsoft Business Solutions) and the overall orchestration of the subsidiary’s Go-To-Market sales, marketing and services plans to achieve them.

Prior to this date, Andrew had spent over 10 years with Microsoft UK, where he held a number of senior management business and marketing roles. At the time of his transfer to Microsoft Singapore, Andrew was Group Manager for Small Business and prior to that role was Head of Desktop Marketing in the UK.

Before joining Microsoft in 1993, Andrew was an Account Director with advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in London.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Marketing from Lancaster University in the UK.
