Philip Yeap is Symantec Corporation's VP of Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Philip leads a team of marketing professionals across this geography and is responsible for segment and product marketing, as well as planning and management of go-to-market strategies across 15 markets in the region. His other responsibilities include branding, analyst relations and e-marketing.

Philip joined Symantec's global marketing team after the company's acquisition of Veritas, where he was head of APJ Marketing and Public Relations.

Prior to joining Veritas, Philip led the Asia Pacific marketing division at Cisco Systems, where his role included overseeing enterprise and industry marketing, integrated marketing and e-marketing. During his tenure at Cisco, he helped transform the marketing team by developing innovative leading edge marketing processes and marketing systems to drive an aggressive pipeline for Cisco. He also played a key role in defining, segmenting and driving Cisco go-to-market activities in new markets, and particularly the SMB space, where he helped lay foundations for a business that saw double digit growth over a 5 year period.

Philip has also held a number of management roles at IBM Asia Pacific, where he managed teams in driving market segmentation and market management across different software and services groups there. Philip also drove the professional Services marketing effort as part of the Software Group (SWG) pillar and later helped to drive sales operations for the Services team.

For over 12 years, Philip has successfully led Asia Pacific teams in the software, hardware and IT services industries, through a variety of business challenges and M&A transitions. In his career, Philip has overseen the integration and scaling of regional marketing teams through three separate M&As. Philip's key achievements include setting up regional integrated marketing teams, building 360, closed loop marketing campaign processes and platforms, and building cross functional teams.

Philip has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts & Social Sciences, having majored in Political Science at the National University of Singapore and is a member of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council in Asia Pacific.
