Nick Barley is Senior Vice President, EMEA Marketing at Computer Associates whom he joined in May 2007 with a remit to lead the EMEA marketing organisation in the EMEA region. He is responsible for all products and solutions marketing, marketing communication and campaign management in this region for both CA’s direct and indirect business.

Prior to joining CA Nick spend five years at Microsoft as Business & Marketing Officer at Microsoft Ltd where he was a main board director and part of the executive team responsible for the management, growth and development of the company’s business in the UK subsidiary. In this role he was responsible for the P&L of the company’s five commercial business groups, whilst running the Marketing and Corporate Affairs organisations. His remit covered orchestrating the direction and success of the sales, marketing and services resources in each of the business groups’, as well as leading the marketing teams responsible for promoting the company’s commercial products and services. He is also responsible for Microsoft’s branding, image, and corporate social responsibility activity in the UK.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Nick was Vice President & Director of Marketing for Oracle UK & Ireland. He has also held senior sales marketing and consulting positions within Bull Information Systems, Digital Equipment Co., Management Science America and Hewlett Packard. Nick has over 21 years experience in the information technology industry, predominantly in sales, marketing and general management. His experience spans UK, European and US markets and multiple market sectors, public and private.

Nick has a Bachelor of Arts Honours (BA Hons) degree in Economics, and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economic & Regional Planning from the University of Reading.
