Ruby Tuesday, Inc. announced the appointment of David Skena as Chief Marketing Officer. Skena is a seasoned and accomplished senior marketing executive with over twenty years of marketing and consulting experience in the consumer packaged goods and retail sectors with particular expertise in brand-building, campaign management, marketing and business strategy development, product innovation and promotions, and advertising and creative development, including digital and social media.

Peter Horst

The Hershey Company announced that marketing veteran Peter Horst will join the company as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, effective July 27.

James Thompson

Diageo has announced the appointment of James Thompson as chief marketing and innovation Officer for North America, effective August 1. Currently managing director of global reserve for Diageo, he will report to the Diageo North America president and will be a member of the North America executive team. Thompson’s appointment comes as Peter McDonough, currently chief marketing and innovation officer, has decided to leave Diageo after almost nine years with the business.

Brian Hancock

Kansas City Southern has hired a new chief marketing officer. The Kansas City-based railway company announced that it appointed Brian Hancock as its executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Hancock, who has led supply-chain operations for a number of companies, will fill the role vacated by Pat Ottensmeyer in February. Ottensmeyer is now the company’s president.

Aditya Save

Matchmaking website Shaadi.com’s founder and CEO Anupam Mittal has stepped down from his role as CEO to focus on corporate development, acquisitions and international expansion, reports ET. COO Gourav Rakshit will take over as the CEO of Shaadi, as well as manage day to day responsibilities. The company has also appointed Aditya Save as its chief marketing officer.

Mukul Deoras

Consumer products maker Colgate-Palmolive Co has elevated Mukul Deoras as its new global chief marketing officer. From this month, IIM Ahmedabad alumnus Deoras will be responsible for an estimated $2-billion advertising budget at Colgate-Palmolive.
