New: Renee McGowan

Renee McGowan has been promoted to the role of chief customer and marketing officer. She will be responsible for Mercer’s customer experience capability and leading the consolidated consumer and business marketing function. Ms McGowan will also retain responsibilities from her previous role as customer service and advice leader.

Imagine Communications has announced the promotion of Ramnik Kamo to the position of chief marketing officer. With 20 years of industry experience, Kamo will now be responsible for overseeing Imagine Communication's overall marketing strategy, business development, partnerships, and merger and acquisition activities.

Dean Evans

Hyundai Motor America announced it has chosen a new vice president and chief marketing officer. Picked for the position is Dean Evans, the former chief marketing officer of Subaru of America and a veteran of such companies as LotLinx, and Evans will now be responsible for all Hyundai marketing and advertising activities in the U.S., and will officially be joining the company on Aug. 17, 2015. The new marketing officer will report to Dave Zuchowski, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor America.

Suzy Deering

The PayPal split is over and done, and life is going on at eBay with a high-profile new hire. The eCommerce firm has snagged Suzy Deering, former CEO of digital advertising agency Moxie, to fill the roll of marketing officer of North America.“EBay is redefining itself with a more aggressive focus on retailing,” the company said in a statement. “As CMO, Suzy will help connect eBay’s customers to the things they love and need, and she’ll bring innovation, a strategic marketing perspective and passionate voice to eBay’s online and offline marketing programs.”

Ashley Zickefoose

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina®, the world's largest casual dining Mexican concept, announced the appointment of Ashley Zickefoose to the position of Chief Marketing Officer, effective September 8, 2015. Ms. Zickefoose, most recently principal of brand strategy agency BES Consulting Group, whose client list includes YUM Brands emerging concept, the Banh Shop, has extensive marketing experience in executive roles with foodservice and restaurant companies, including Kraft Foods and Pizza Hut/YUM Brands. She was also the SVP of Marketing for Dallas-based retailer Sleep Experts.

Colette LaForce, the Chicago-based online research site for car shoppers and owners, announced that Colette LaForce has been named chief marketing officer, effective immediately. In her new role, LaForce will be responsible for all aspects of the site's brand marketing, advertising, pricing, analytics, communications and creative services. LaForce will report directly to CEO and President Alex Vetter. LaForce will be based in the company's Chicago headquarters.
