Jeff Hennion joined Dick’s Sporting Goods in January 2000 and currently serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to the Chairman & CEO. Jeff has been the CMO since June 2005. In his position, Jeff is responsible for all marketing activities for Dick’s Sporting Goods, the nation’s largest sporting goods retailer, and Golf Galaxy, the nation’s largest specialty golf retailer, including branding, advertising, consumer research, loyalty programs and media relations. He is also responsible for the company’s e-commerce business, operated at DicksSportingGoods.com and GolfGalaxy.com, and the implementation of their multi-channel strategies. Prior to his current position, Jeff served as senior vice president, strategic planning, with a primary focus on merger and acquisition activity. Prior to those responsibilities, he held the positions of vice president, finance, during the time the company went public, and also as vice president, treasurer of the company. Prior to Dick’s Sporting Goods, Jeff was at Alcoa, Inc. for 11 years in a variety of corporate finance and treasury functions, both in Pittsburgh and Lausanne, Switzerland, including positions as assistant treasurer and also as director – investor relations for the company. His responsibilities at Alcoa included such areas as financial risk management and trading, corporate finance, global banking, and credit operations. Jeff received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University, and a Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University. He served as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University’s MBA school teaching financial risk management and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Marathon. Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. is an authentic full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel, and footwear in a specialty store environment. As of January 31, 2009 the Company operated 384 Dick's Sporting Goods stores in 39 states primarily throughout the eastern half of the U.S. The Company also owns Golf Galaxy, Inc., a multi-channel golf specialty retailer, with 89 stores in 31 states, ecommerce websites and catalog operations and Chick's Sporting Goods, Inc., which operates 14 specialty sporting goods stores in Southern California.
