John Costello was formerly the Vice President of Marketing for Gateway (Acer) with responsibility for Web, Product Marketing, Segment Marketing, Brand Management, Advertising, Media, CRM, Marketing Operations, Market Research and Public Relations. He was also the General Manager of Gateway's Direct Business Unit where he was responsible for the P&L.

Prior to joining Gateway in 2006 Costello was Director of Strategic Alliances for Cingular Wireless. Before that, Costello held numerous marketing and strategic alliance positions at companies including Vodafone, GoAmerica and Dell. Costello also held a number of positions in Marketing and Operations in Europe, Asia and the U.S. at Gateway from 1993 through 1999.
