Sandie OvertveldBusiness & Marketing Officer, Microsoft South Africa Sandie is responsible for the success of five of the company's commercial business groups (Windows Client, Information Worker, Server & Tools, Dynamics, CE/Mobility), as well as delivering satisfied customers across multiple segments and audiences by integrating sales (specialist, technical, and other), marketing, partners, and services functions in South Africa. He leads all elements of marketing across the subsidiary: integrating brand, communications, and sales & marketing systems to drive the orchestration across the subsidiary. Sandie has held the positions of Director for Sales Excellence, Director for Enterprise Business Solutions (Dynamics) and acting Director for Enterprise Partners in the UK since joining Microsoft. He was a member of the UK Enterprise & Partner Group (EPG) and extended subsidiary leadership team before taking on the BMO assignment in South Africa in July 2008. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sandie was Senior Vice President International for Pivotal Corporation (mid market CRM vendor), based out of London, after returning from 2 years in Massachusetts, USA as Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing for a privately held Information Security company. Before this he spent 5 years with Canadian Corel Corporation (graphics and word processing software vendor) in various senior management functions based in Johannesburg, Amsterdam and Sydney before moving to London as their Vice President International. Sandie was born in the Netherlands and educated in South Africa. He is married and has three children. |
