Greg Gable is senior vice president and head of public relations for The Charles Schwab Corporation. Under Mr. Gable’s lead, the public relations group manages all corporate and marketing public relations for the parent company and its subsidiaries. Mr. Gable joined Schwab in May, 1997 as director of public relations for Schwab’s mutual fund businesses, OneSource and SchwabFunds. Before joining Schwab, Mr. Gable was director of strategic planning at The Understanding Business, a San Francisco-based communications consulting firm, working with clients including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Amgen, and Charles Schwab to create stronger more streamlined internal and external communications and marketing programs. Prior to that he was vice president of communications at Age Wave, Inc. a marketing services firm focused on the business, social and communications implications of an aging population, where he created national education and training programs for Age Wave clients CBS, Chrysler Corporation, Prudential Insurance Company and Merck. Mr. Gable began his communications career at Porter Novelli, in Washington, DC managing national social marketing programs such as the Department of Health and Human Services’ National High Blood Pressure Education Program, and AARP’s Healthy US program. Mr. Gable received an MA in Communications at the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School of Communications, and his BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. |
