Dean Harris is the Chief Marketing Officer of Kayak.com, a rapidly growing, venture backed vertical search website in the travel space.
Prior to Kayak, Harris was the CMO for Vonage, the leading Internet telephone company; the CMO of CarDay.com, a bricks and clicks use car site and the SVP of HotJobs, a prominent employment site. Before this he founded and ran a full service advertising agency in New York City and Connecticut with clients that included Citibank, Coca Cola, Nestle, M&M Mars and Sotheby's.

Harris received his formal education at The Horace Mann School, Carleton College (BA is Sociology and Anthropology), the Columbia School of International Affairs (MIA in South Asian Studies) and Columbia Business School (MBA in Marketing and International Business).

Harris has served as an Adjunct Professor or Marketing at Fairfield University and The University of Bridgeport. He has lectured at many universities and industry groups including: The Sloan School at MIT. Columbia Business School. the Kellogg School at Northwestern, the 2005 Cannes Lions Awards, The Harvard Business School Club of New York, Adtech, iMedia, the IAB, the Ad Club of New York, B2B Magazine, the Conference Board 2006 Corporate Image Conference, ResExpo 2006 and the CMO Council.

Harris is a winner of a Brandweek Marketer of the Year Award in 2005.
