Jacqueline Macias is currently vice president, brand management. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing the brand management process to advance WellPoint’s national leadership role and position market-facing brands successfully for the future. Macias began her career at WellPoint in 1998 as a project manager in corporate finance. In a seven-year period, she progressed in a variety of areas including playing a key role as staff vice president, integration planning and implementation, for WellPoint’s successful integration of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia. Then, as vice president, micromarket strategy and implementation, Macias was instrumental in establishing WellPoint’s micromarket strategy methodology and process. As vice president, segment management, she worked with the general managers of key accounts for all WellPoint brands to ensure market segment focus and business practice consistency across the company. Previously, Macias spent 10 years with ITT Industries where she held various financial management positions. Macias has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Rutgers University and a Master of Science degree in taxation from American University. She is a Certified Public Accountant. |
