David Mahder is Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Consumer Insights for Aetna, Inc. He is responsible for marketing strategy and capability development, working in partnership with Aetna’s business segments and shared service areas. He also leads Aetna’s Market Research and Business Intelligence efforts, as well as business building efforts in multicultural markets. Mr. Mahder has more than 20 years of consumer and business-to-business marketing experience. He began his career in the consumer package goods industry, holding leadership marketing positions at Richardson Vicks, Procter & Gamble and Sterling Drug. He held a senior marketing position at Aetna in the mid-1990s, and then became head of Strategic Marketing at GE Financial Assurance. Mr. Mahder returned to Aetna in 2002. Mr. Mahder holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College, and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management. He also has been an adjunct professor in Fairfield University’s MBA program, specializing in customer behavior. He resides in Fairfield, Conn., with his wife and three children. |
