Online Marketing Performance Institute (OMPI)
Given the significant shift and re-allocation of marketing dollars into interactive digital media channels, the CMO Council is setting up a dedicated research center focused on measuring and tracking the effectiveness, relevance and value of online marketing programs and spend. It will also examine and advocate the need for more unified and integrated approaches to managing and optimizing the fragmented interactive marketing discipline, especially across leading vertical markets. These include travel and hospitality, health care, financial services, retail, CE/tech, media & entertainment, CPG, telco/ISP, etc. Teaming with leading solutions providers, analyst groups, consultants, functional marketing organizations and media partners, the CMO Council will explore various facets of online market engagement; lead acquisition; customer intimacy, listening and experience; individualized relationship management; as well as viral, word-of-mouth advocacy. Keeping a Closer Eye on Content ROI
The CMO Council will activate its Online Marketing Performance Institute (OMPI) with a new Intelligent Market Engagement (IME) program - entitled Keeping a Closer Eye on Content ROI, aimed at driving improvements in online customer attraction, interaction, transaction and satisfaction through more dynamic and engaging web content delivery and experience. Funded by a lead underwriter or coalition of co-sponsors, the continuity campaign to advance online marketing channel effectiveness and closed loop measurement in 2009 will target chief marketing executives, Internet strategists and interactive marketing group leaders in the financial services, CPG, technology, healthcare, travel and hospitality, and retail sectors. CLOSECoalition to Leverage and Optimize Sales Effectiveness (CLOSE)
CLOSE is a dynamic web destination and membership community that engages sales executives seeking to advance their organization's competencies and competitiveness as well as their own. The mandate of CLOSE is to champion best practices in sales empowerment, aggregate relevant knowledge and insight, and provide a peer-powered environment for networking and interaction among sales executives and professionals. Calibrate how you operateProtection from Brand Infection
Extending the conversations started in the CMO Council's Secure the Trust of Your Brand initiative, Protection from Brand Infection, a new strategic interest study, will focus on enterprise brand protection and take a deep dive into the brand image and integrity issues and implications of online counterfeit sales, gray market knock-offs, phishing attacks, cyber squatting, email scams, online brand and trademark abuse, domain kiting, pay-per-click fraud, copyright and patent infringements, as well as product piracy and fakes.
