Kath Sharfman heads up marketing for Tencent Africa and its portfolio of brands including WeChat the multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment app and JOOX the music streaming app. Kath specialises in rapid deployment of brands in market with responsibilities including brand and go to market strategy, integrated product marketing and communication planning, digital marketing performance and corporate communications.
Kath started her career in law, moved into IT and went digital in 1999. Before going brand side in 2017, she had spent 18 years agency side from start up to corporates WPP and LBi (now Publicis Group) and has worked with:
