Previously he served as Head: Commercialisation Emerging Payments and Head: Sales Strategy Forex and Investment for Nedbank Retails and Business bank. Tumelo has found a niche market in innovative products which are for informal and emerging markets.
With extensive experience in Financial Services, Retail, and Informal Markets Commercialization he has found white spaces in the connectedness of business and consumers within ecosystem as critical for exponential growth in complex economic conditions. Building strategies which create shared value interactions of complementary businesses leading to more customer value proposition enhancement in complex industries and spaces in the African continent. Currently Tumelo is busy with his PhD Marketing focusing on Low-income consumer media consumption and media synergy in rural and township South Africa at University of Cape Town.
