Gayatri Yadav currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer India & SEA for Sequoia Capital. She previously was the President Consumer Strategy & Innovation for STAR India. Yadav has more than 18 years of experience in marketing. Her last assignment was as marketing director, General Mills India. She joined the company as the second employee and led the launch and development of a portfolio of food brands, most notably the flagship brand, Pillsbury Atta. She was with the company for about 14 years. Earlier, Yadav worked with Procter & Gamble India. She has a strong marketing functional experience across brand building, communication development, strategy planning, market research/consumer insight, new product development and launch support, and trade marketing/sales support. Gayatri has been recognised among the "Top 10 Women Marketers in India" (Brand Equity, Times of India article: 2004) and has been awarded "India’s Greatest Brand Builders" by BVMSR (2005).
