Leeya Hendricks is an experienced global marketing strategist with strong leadership, technical, creative and entrepreneurial credentials. With a special focus on IT, digital and B2B insights, she has been at the forefront of developing and executing strategic marketing and brand innovation programmes in the local and global market, corporate and entrepreneurial environments, across a wide range of industries. Currently the Acting Head of Marketing and Communication at Accenture in South Africa, she is responsible for leading development and implementation of strategic integrated marketing and communication for the Accenture business across clients and industries, working collaboratively with business and sales teams to drive market outcomes that lead to revenue growth. She is also in control of driving the innovation agenda with the customer on high-impact messaging for lasting retention and sustainable growth. Before joining Accenture, Leeya worked at IBM as the Systems Technology Group Marketing Manager and lead, where she was responsible for the management and execution of marketing communication strategies for growth markets in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Before that she headed up the brand team at Business Connexion Group, leading group brand strategy and driving brand management as well as the development of external and internal brand communication strategies. She entered the corporate marketing industry as a Marketing & Events Manager for FNB. Leeya has a strong background in digital marketing strategy, having worked internationally for leading digital agencies such as Small Back Room Digital Consulting and Crayon Advertising as a Senior Web Project Manager. Her professional development has been punctuated with leadership positions, culminating in management roles at three multinationals and her selection to attend Accenture’s prestigious Future Leaders and Mentorship programmes. She has a BA Honours Degree in Brand & Marketing Leadership from VEGA, a BA Honours Degree from Wits University, and she completed her MDP at Stellenbosch University. Leeya is passionate about advancing the role of women in industry and business. She is a keen explorer and enjoys travelling, photography, fine art, playing golf and reading.
