Jacqui currently heads up the marketing function in the South African office of Beam Suntory, a world leading producer and distributor of premium spirits. This involves marketing management of the full portfolio of premium cognac, whiskey, bourbon and gin brands. Jacqui has also overseen development of the ecommerce channel and the digital ecosystem to support it. She previously held leadership roles in Strategy, Business Intelligence and Insights in the Suntory Group as part of Suntory Beverage & Food for Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean, and was interim marketing director on the beverage portfolio across this wide geography before transferring to the spirits side of the business. Prior to this Jacqui served on the management committee of the Publicis Machine group of communication agencies and was Managing Director of their digital marketing insights agency, part of the Publicis Africa Group. Previous roles were managing director of a boutique insights agency and manager of marketing services in Ogilvy SA. She holds a MBA specializing in executive management from UCT’s Graduate School of Business, as well as qualifications in Industrial Psychology and Marketing. Jacqui has taken part in global leadership development training on innovation and cross cultural communication in Tokyo and on site at Stanford and Berkeley. She has lectured at Master’s level on creating sustainable value for shareholders and strategic insight in business decision making. She also addressed the Chief Data & Analytics Officer Africa Summit, has been media spokesperson on topics such as digital communication and integrated marketing, and regularly presented at industry forums.
