Sudhanshu Tripathi is a VP at Sterlite Power, a global transmission developer of power transmission infrastructure with asset portfolio of more than $5.6 Bn. He is the Head of Marketing and leads the Brand, Marketing, Communication & ESG agenda for the company. In his earlier role as the acting Chief Marketing Officer, he launched the Sterlite Power brand and led the successful listing (financial PR for IPO of Rs 2250 Cr) of India's first power sector InvIT (IndiGrid).
Under his leadership Sterlite Power became one of the fastest growing brands, won multiple global awards and became a case study for Facebook, LinkedIn, IIM Ahmadabad and the ISB Hyderabad case study got published on Harvard Business Publishing.
He also led the office of MD during the formative years of the company and drove the strategy formulation, execution and new business incubation. He has been recognized as one of the top 100 Digital Leaders in India.
Prior to joining Sterlite Power, Sudhanshu was the Global Head of thought leadership marketing at Cyient, a global leader in engineering, manufacturing, and digital transformation. In this role he established the content marketing, digital marketing and build a team around one of the most advanced marketing technology stacks. This role provided him the opportunity to lead the process of re-branding Infotech Enterprises to Cyient. He also had the opportunity to execute the corporate strategy for the business and establish an emerging technology service line for Cyient to deliver IOT, M2M & Data Analytics based services.
Prior to joining Cyient, Sudhanshu led the international business development of FINO (a SaaS based FinTech leader for branchless banking) and unlocked new markets, partnerships and key accounts to establish FINO in the international markets. He could create immediate impact through the mix of strategy, sales and SaaS marketing capabilities to create a multimillion-dollar opportunity pipeline in less than 1.5 years.
Prior to FINO, he was a strategy consultant with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS). Through consultative selling globally across multiple industries, he unlocked profitable business opportunities and helped to scale the accounts over a period. He started his career as a techie and later got into business development and sales across Australia & UK.
He holds an MBA from University of Western Australia and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur University. He’s also an alumnus of both IIMA & ISB where he perused courses in marketing and strategy.
