Matt Taylor is a diversified marketing and communications executive with over two decades of experience driving success and innovation within the financial, professional services, and manufacturing industries. He has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to C-suite and executive leaders, consistently delivering innovative solutions that align with strategic business goals. Matt is also an ideator with a proven ability to generate concepts, expand into new markets, and create differentiated client experiences. Additionally, he is a lean six sigma black belt with a keen expertise in change management and business optimization.
Serving as the CMO of Enterprise Clients and Innovation at Aon, Matt manages a team responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and programs for the firm’s largest multinational clients. Notably, he established client councils made up of 200+ C-suite clients, convening them regularly to provide a unique client experience and exclusive access to the firm’s leaders, enhancing the firm’s client- centric approach and differentiating themselves from competitors. In addition, he is known for being a strategic and trusted advisor to the firm’s CEO of Enterprise Clients, Chief Client Officer, and Chief Innovation Officer, delivering key insights and recommendations informed by a deep understanding of the firm’s business objectives, client needs, and emerging market trends.
Prior to his role at Aon, Matt had an impressive career with General Electric, ending as a Senior Business Communications Leader for GE Transportation, where he led all communications for the sales organization and equipment and services businesses, comprised of over 2,000 employees and $3.3B in annual revenue. He brings unique quality management experience, having served as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with GE Capital for two years. In this position, he pioneered a process improvement initiative to reduce cycle times for deal underwriting processes by 76%, streamlined the customer onboarding processes, and successfully implemented a cutting-edge IT system to support these efforts.
