Rudratej (Rudy) Singh is the President of the Royal Enfield motorcycle business. He is responsible for global commercial and brand equity, which includes leading the Global Sales and After Sales, Brand Building, New Product Development Strategy, and expanding the footprint of key emerging segments like Accessories, Apparel and Spares. With over 18 years of experience across emerging as well as developed markets globally, Rudy has acquired valuable experience in leading global brands and is skilled in marketing mix development, managing brand equity/health, media planning, advertising and new product innovations at a country (India), regional (Asia) and global level (Lat Am, Europe, China, Africa, Middle East). He is experienced in leading large and diverse cross-geographic/cultural teams and is passionate to engage in every opportunity to help drive marketing capability and mentor young managers. Rudy previously served as Vice President of Marketing Operations - South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal) at Unilever for Home and Personal Care, Foods and Refreshment, where he was responsible for ensuring “on time and in full” delivery of top category innovations, driving return on marketing investment (ROMI) effectiveness across traditional and digital media, accelerating nascent “categories of the future” performance through market development/behaviour change models and running the overall strategic business planning process to make the company future ready. He has had the somewhat unique opportunity within an otherwise market leader organisation of working on challenger brands/categories. This challenger mindset required re-thinking and innovation which complimented his innate curiosity, and desire to get the job done through out of the box thinking. He therefore relishes crafting new models of growth that challenge the status quo, as these have helped him deliver continuous success. In his spare time Rudy plays competitive amateur golf, and has represented his country at an international arena with wins across the world. He also runs a charity for underprivileged girl children, empowering them with education, fitness, nutrition and improved social skills. Rudy is also a trained caregiver to Cerebral Palsy children. In 2012, Rudy was awarded “Marketer of the Year” award for unlocking new opportunities for Unilever’s Oral Care business by the World Brand Congress and CMO Council.
