As the Head of Marketing for LATAM, Michelle is responsible for driving the success of AWS among startups, developers, small businesses and enterprise audiences across all of Latin America. She owes defining and driving regional marketing plan, budget, resources, programs and events and also drive execution of global marketing programs in the LATAM region. Michelle has over 20 years of experience in international IT and telecom markets. She spent eight years with Verisign as Marketing Manager for Latin America, where she achieved significant revenue growth for the telecommunications services, internet and digital security company. Previously, she led the marketing departments at 3com (Hewlett Packard), Iomega and Eicon Networks (Dialogic) developing strategies and managing partner programs, marketing, communications and branding. Michelle graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Information Technology and holds two Executive MBAs: Executive MBA in Marketing from ESPM and Strategic Management from USP together with International extension in Global Management from University of Central Florida UCF. She has gained extensive international experience from taking specialized courses with the American Management Association (AMA) in New York and extensions abroad. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
